Officine Panerai reopens its New York boutique at 703 Madison Avenue with the new concept created by architect-designer Patricia Urquiola. The store of the celebrated Italian high quality sports watchmakers is now located in the most prestigious and exclusive luxury shopping area of Manhattan.Madison Avenue boutique this month, featuring an expansive area designed by celebrated Spanish designer and architect Patricia Urquiola. The new boutique presents a modern vision of the Italian brand, and pays tribute to their role in supplying tools to the Italian Navy. There are 4 new GMT models and, as is expected with Panerai, they all retain the classic and bold look from the brand. The 1940 line is essentially a hybrid combination of the Radiomir and Luminor watches, and is popular amongst Paneristi for this reason.

January at SIHH in Geneva Panerai added yet another new entry to its list of case materials: pressed carbon.The Luminor Submersible 1950 Carbotech 3 Days Automatic (PAM00616) features an unusual pressed carbon case made by compressing thin sheets of carbon fiber at a controlled temperature with a high-end polymer called PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone). Officine Panerai has launched many different models with some offering the convenience of self-winding movements. In addition, it has gone on to produce its own in-house movements. Each Panerai watch is as unique as the heritage it embodies. A heritage that has its beginnings in Florence in 1860.

News Events - Panerai

After an initial series of watches with the markers and figures covered with Radiomir paste, Panerai developed a new type of dial, known as “sandwich”.
