Barbera wine with turkey

Piedmont sports juicy black cherry and ground pepper flavors, racy acidity and silky tannins, making it a classic companion to Thanksgiving fare. It is therefore a great match for turkey or duck, both of which are traditionally served with cranberries or cherries. The citrus flavors of Sauvignon Blanc go well with fish and the peppery scents typical of a Syrah or Grenache pair well with most red meat.

Barbera offers an easy drinking style that, seemingly, everyone loves with flavors of red cherry, strawberry, violets, nutmeg and subtle vanilla. This Barbera spent 10 more months in oak and then was hand bottled for an impressive taste sensation. Enjoy this wine now, but plan on holding onto a bottle or two for a few more years….
