International Airport (DEL) is the busiest airport of India, located in the capital Delhi. Other important airports are Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai and Chennai International Airport (MAA) in Chennai.
International Airport, now known as O. R. Tambo Airport, is classified as a hot and high airport. International Airport (ORD) dropped two places to its lowest ranking in more than a decade. It placed as high as second place behind ATL in 2008. One of the reasons traffic has not expanded as quick is the lack of terminal facilities available for the Airbus A380-800 aircrafts.
International Airport is located around 25 km from Malappuram and 28 km from Kozhikode. The airport provides service to both Kozhikode and Malappuram districts.
